Your medical practitioner will provide you with comprehensive information about the active ingredient during a personal consultation. Injection-Lipolysis is recommended for people of normal weight with areas of stubborn fat pockets. It is not suitable for severely overweight patients, for whom other measures should be considered.
During the treatment, the active substance is injected directly into fat pockets with fine needles. This active ingredient dissolves fat cells. The body transports the released fat to the lymphatic system and the liver. This is an amplification of natural processes that take place in the body every day.
The treatment is performed at your practitioner’s clinic. Depending on the treatment area, the treatment time is 45-60 minutes. Shortly after your Injection-Lipolysis session, you will notice a localised reaction in the form of redness and swelling. A burning sensation, moderate pain, and tenderness may be experienced. These symptoms subside after a few days. Your practitioner will advise you on pain relief measures.
As a result of the treatment, fat pockets are usually visibly reduced within 4-8 weeks, depending on the extent of fat in the treated area. On average, 2-4 sessions at intervals of 8 weeks are necessary to achieve optimal results. The average reduction in circumference varies between 3,5 and 5 cm, but may, in some cases, exceed this. More than 85% of patients are very satisfied with their results after 2-4 treatments.

Post-TreatmentCare Instructions:
After your treatment you should:
- Apply ice and or a cooling gel to the treated area (-s) to soothe swelling and discomfort
- Take anti-inflammatories to soothe the pain and inflammation
- Take a 15-20-minute walk at a moderate pace twice a day
- If possible, avoid or minimise the use of alcohol and paracetamol during the course of Injection-Lipolysis
- Reduce carbohydrate intake
- Avoid eating after 5 pm
- Drink plenty of water to prevent episodes of low blood pressure and dizzy spells
After each treatment:
- Avoid sauna or chlorine for 7 days, as this may irritate your skin
- Do not perform any strenuous sport, such as a workout or jogging, for 7 days, to prevent irritation of the treated areas and to avoid episodes of dizzy spells
- Do not wear tight clothing for 7 days if this constricts the treated areas, as this can impair blood flow to the already swollen tissues
- Do not undertake long journeys for the first 7 days, as regular mobilisation is imperative to stimulate blood circulation
- Do not expose the treated areas to direct sunlight for 4 weeks, as inflamed skin may become discoloured
You should contact your medical practitioner if:
- A skin rash appears
- You feel feverish or experience chills 3-7 days following your treatment
- You become aware of a localised area that appears inflamed, swollen, and tender
- You become aware of a dark, painful area or an area of ulceration (broken skin)
